About Us

The Donne di Benin City Association, founded on December 9, 2015, by Osas Egbon. The association was conceived as a beacon of hope for Nigerian women who are victims of trafficking. Our mission is to offer support, advocacy, and a path toward the recovery of dignity and economic independence.

We operate in Palermo, providing counseling, material support, and social assistance, working with Italian and European NGOs to combat trafficking and support its victims. Our goal is to extend our impact to Nigeria, the country of origin for many of these women, through co-development projects.

Our Objectives:

Empowerment through Education: We aim to educate and raise awareness among young women about the dangers of trafficking.

Economic Independence: We support the creation of cooperatives and provide entrepreneurial training to help women achieve financial self-sufficiency.

Cultural Mediation: With our deep knowledge of Nigerian culture, we offer critical support to survivors, helping them reconnect with their identity and regain control of their lives.

Our Impact:

In just the past year, Donne di Benin City has helped more than 65 women, both minors and adults, leave the streets and build new lives. With our continued commitment, we aim to extend our help to even more women, offering them the chance to regain their freedom and build a better future.
